Focusing on the Good

My day has been a bit of an up and down.
In and out.

Then again, the statement above is redundant.
Cos that has been the constant way of my life anyway.
Up and down.
In and out.
Isn't yours?
:)

You know how they say life is too short to date ugly people?
Well, in a very cruel sort of way,
they may be right.
In a different way.
Haha.

To me, life is too short to focus on ugly things.
Things that make your day bad, your mood foul, your emotions upside down.
Yet, these are the things that matter the most,
or people who matter the most anyway.

Nobody's perfect.
Today, I am thankful for all the good times we had.
Or have, or will be having.
My point is,
I will focus only on the good.

Yes, I will cry for the bad.
But no, I cannot let myself linger there anymore.
Bad bad energy.
Too much negativity!

Sometimes I wonder if this is an ostrich's escape route.
But then I remember He is in control, and not us as individuals.
To worry is sin.
Have faith, for He is able.

I am grateful for all that I am blessed with.

On a side-note, had another impulsive piercing on my left earlobe.
The slight rush was.. familiarly exhilarating.
My my..

Time to work out the confrontation plan!

*fingers and toes crossed*

Last of Taipei 2012

Just to make sure I don't come off as a Tiger Head Snake Tail person,
I shall complete my posts on the Taipei Trip.

Day 3 was our last day, technically,
As we were leaving the next day.

Oh now I remember why I dun like Day 3 so much,
cos we went to so many nice places (nice = nice for photos)
but yet no one could take a decent picture of me.
T.T

The two really suck as photographers.
Now you know why you see their faces more than mine in this whole series of pictures.

I miss people like Carynie, Laling and Yaya at times like these. Wtf.

BUT,
there's always cam-whoring to the rescue.
So no worries. LOL

#1 Good morning Sunshine.

#2 Bi's shui zhong (water-retention) face. And she has blood shot eyes too! Thanks to more than 12 hours of contact lens the previous day. Lovin her new skirt and bag though. :)

#3 Them buying random stuff. Was being a good girl cos I was already broke. Haha.

#4 Arrived at Danshui. Got kinda lost in the back alley looking for the main street - DanShui Lao Jie.

#5 Wen and some random post-box.

#6 Me walking along Dan Shui Lao Jie! Dun blame me cos no one wanna take nice pics for me.

#7 Bi's famous pose. Haha

#8 Wen refused to jump. LOL. Like constipated or something.

#9 Me again with Qing Ren Qiao and Yu Ren Ma Tou (Fisherman's Wharf). Literal translation would be lover's bridge. Go google k?

I find myself quite amazing actually. LOL
I can still capture important tourists' spot by camwhoring. XD

Oh btw,
I find Fisherman's Wharf a waste of time.
Unless you plan to start a romance here,
or star in some soapy drama.
Or break-up with your other half under the rain and run off crying with the sea as your background.
Other than that,
it's just an ok ok scenery. Those you can find on post cards.
Not very special.
Then again, this is just my opinion..

An guess what?
It rained.
and quite heavily too.
=.=

#10 Edited pic of the wet me.

Left Danshui.
Went back to look for a Prawn thingy that is supposedly a "Must-Try".
Walked super far, and it was super tiring.
And this was what we got:

#11 Closed. =.=

Disappointed but yea.
It was off to Wu Fen Pu, AGAIN.
Not my idea,
Bi desperately need to buy more clothes.

#12 Dinner back at XMD. Our most pricey meal of the whole trip. Partial buffet with steak. Super Hungry Bi gobbling down both the main course and the dessert at the same time. *banyak sia suay one* LOL

And she kept singing "Dau Huey ~" Hokkien for Tau Foo Far. Haha.

Ended the night with Pillow + Beer Talk.

#13 Loving this. Thanks to Cheng You Qing and Li Da Ren.

#14 The drunkards. Heart them.

The next day was basically breakfast, airport, flight, back to KL.

Nah, bonus pic of the next day. LOL.

#15 Some cute penguin/duck we saw before boarding.

So me is responsible blogger ok?
All posts here dy.
Then again, I might just upload more pics to fb *maybe*.
:)

Till then, xoxo.

Luxy Luxy

As mentioned in the previous post,
we went clubbing in Taipei.

I used to find "Party Girl" a derogatory term.
As Asians, we try very hard to uphold our "virtue" by being a guai guai nv (good girl).

We learn to sew and knit,
we learn to cook and bake.
We speak softly and make sure we laugh with our hands covering our mouths.
And we wear nice flowery frocks that are either pink or light yellow.

*awkward silence*

*burst out laughing*

That's not my main point la.
While I DO know how to sew, knit, cook and bake, (don't smirk!)
there's another thing on the list that I really like doing.

I like to party.

I like having fun. With or without alcohol.
I like dancing and getting the attention I want.
And I like immersing in the upbeat music, the never-tired crowd and the generally happy environment.

I am very well aware of the disadvantages as well. (so you should be too!)
Number one, Clubbing is dangerous.
Number two, Loud music is bad for your ears.
Number three, Alcohol is bad for your liver.

BUT,
life is about striking a balance.

I'm not saying its good.
I'm just saying I enjoy it (most of the time, at least).

And now,
you can enjoy my pictures too *sly grin*

#1 The club Bi selected for us was pretty posh-looking. Once again, thanks Bi! =)

#2 And when the lift opened, we kinda got shocked. The laser-thingy made it quite a challenge to maneuver our way through for fear of bumping into a wall or mirror! Still, the interior design and lighting effects were undeniably awesome.

#3 The very cool-looking bar.

#4 Us camwhoring in the restroom, which was equipped with perfect lighting and really comfy sofas. So thoughtful right!

#5 The only picture of Wen.

#6 WITHOUT editing! Bi looks so damn pretty in this pic. *jealous*

Then me n Bi started a game.
More like a mission actually.
We were supposed to get FIVE pictures of random strangers.
And...

I failed.

#7 Bi's guy number one - the cutest of all! Still hard to believe he's 25 though.

#8 Bi's number two.

#9 Bi's number three, some European guy from dunno what country (definitely not Canada so you dun need to point out his shirt design to me, thank you) who, after one shot said: "Actually I dun like taking pictures". =____=

#10 Bi's number four.

#11 Bi's number five, blur but it adds to the list.

#12 My turn! The first one.

#13 The second one.

#14 And the third one. Which is also the last one. T.T

#15 Its nice to do crazy things once in a while. Me lovey you.

#16 Leaving the club. Still can't get over the laser-thingy. Haha!

As you can see,
I only got three.
Of cos la,
her dress is so err... "mini".
And I look like a damn giant beside her ok?
*bitter*

Never mind,
I will zai jie zai li one.
Ending this post with a super big, chio picture of me.
*zi wo an wei*

xoxo

P/s: Special thanks to Wen who went with us despite disliking clubbing. Thank you for the effort and willingness to spend time and money although you were both tired and broke!

Oh and those for you who wants to know, our entrance fee costs NT600 inclusive of two drinks. T.T
So its really pricey,
but worth it nevertheless!

讨厌鬼

I hate dun like visiting the Taipei 101 Tower.
The secret's out, now you all know. Haha.

First, its just a tower.
Second, it's so freaking inconvenient.
It's not exactly nearby any subway stations and the shuttle bus is always not punctual.

But,
go Taipei have to visit la.
Right?
At least for first timers.

#1 Wholesome breakfast, which Ah Bi insisted was very unhealthy due to the "ru rou fan".
I dunno where she get these ideas.. =.=

#2 In the subway, everyone was busy instagram / facebook / twitter / whatsapp -ing. What to do? We famous ma. Lolol. *delusional*

#3 Some of the 101 pictures. Well, actually there are alot of them but I'm lazy to edit now. So later fb la..

#4 They will forever remember this cos I forced them to jump. Like really force one. But ultra nice lor right? *proud of myself*

We then went on to our main agenda,
"we" here referring to me n Bi more than Wen.
Wu Fen Pu!
Lol, but little did Wen know the real torture in store for her... *evil grin*

#4 We were early hence lunch first at Sushi Express.

#5 Poor Wen hated sushi. LOL. Not our fault cos she agreed to it!

Started shopping and there was this the shop we lingered the longest.
This freaking super hyper salesman was busy flirting with Bi.
Calling her names ranging from Baby, Darling, Bao Bei.
But then we realized something, the one name that got Bi so freaking happy was.... *drumroll*

"讨厌鬼"

Her smile was something like that when he called her that! Haha!
*instant light up*
No la obviously I kua zhang one but you can try and see, no harm! Lolol

LMAO!
She super like the term one. So people, now you know wat to call her to make her fluttery. LOL
He called her that and she instantly bought liao.
Lalalala~

But his tactics really work lor. T.T
We bought quite a lot from this particular shop..

#6 Picture of Bi and the salesman

After that we were too busy shopping to take any more pics.. =.=

#7 Back to hotel and another round of reporting / updating..

Wen needed to rest (old people) so we left her in the room while me and Bi attacked Momo.
Momo is similar to the Sasa we have here,
just wayyy more interesting and wayyy more cheaper and wayyy more happier and wayyy more..
Ok, you get it.

Obviously no pics cos we were too occupied. Haha!

This shop is a MUST visit every time I'm in Taipei :)

I seriously think we are very the young cos after all these..

WE WENT CLUBBING AT NIGHT.

But that's another post la cos too freaking long..

Taipei Day 2..Maybe not

Was supposed to wait for pictures from my camera,
which is regrettably, still with Wen,
(but that's another story)
before I update on Day 2 in Taipei.

Then I was too impatient I thought,
Why not just update only lar?

But,
its NO fun seeing a long-ass blog post with no pictures.
Right?
Right.

But,
on the other hand,
work is killing me.

Compiling a S.O.P can be equated to working with 10 useless group members,
not that my colleagues are incompetent,
its just that this project is not their responsibility so they don't really care.
and if you read it backwards it actually stands for..
Pile of Shit.
Which is exactly what I think I'm doing now.
=.=

SO!

I decided to do this:

I warned you!
Ok.
I really need to get back to work.
NOW.

Taipei 2012

Four days, well spent.
With the two that got me a little apprehensive at first..
One was just emotion-less (or slow I dunno, referring to the Rafi event lolol),
and the other one was just.. not really a fully-grown adult yet.
Haha!

Waiting for our KUL-TPE flight.
Bi was asking Wen about the most romantic experience she has encountered,
and without waiting for Wen to answer,
she proceeded to tell us her own experience.
=__________=

I know right?
Banyak sai meng one.. Lolol!

#1 - Wen and the bread her mummy packed for her. Lol

#2 - Me and the hyper one.

#3 - And if you stalk me this photo I posted before dy. Taken on board upon arrival. No make!

After searching high and low for our hotel, we finally settled down.
The person in charge was quite good looking (damn all these Taiwanese guys..)
and actually that was the only thing I remember about our hotel..
Nah, joking la!

Our hotel room, or more like backpackers / hostel I'm not sure was actually quite nice.
Its situated in a residential building,
so the exterior was a bit..
ermmm..
Like tat la, but the rooms were ok!
Clean (both physically and spiritually haha) and everything was quite new..
Was comfy but the only downside its the slight distance from the center of Xi Men Ding..

#4 - The exterior

#5 - Some snapshots of the room..

#6 - Me and Wen waiting for Bi who dunno was busy with wat..

Went for Ah Zong mian xian. They loved it as much as I do!
This one no pictures cos all pictures are still in the camera,
which is still with Wen =(

And after that we headed to Shihlin Night Market.
Shopping craze started right there and then.

#7 - Part of it.

First night we all had some difficulty sleeping.
Mine was due to the strange environment,
Wen's was due to MY insomnia. LOL.
Then Bi, also woke up around 4am and we chatted a little..
Oh wells.
We definitely are YOUNG cos we slept less than 3 hours but yet managed to wake up at 7.30 the next day..
0.o

Sneak peek of Day 2 (hopefully I still have my blogging mojo then.. Haha)

Stay tuned!

xoxo
