Thanksgiving 2012

Two exams on Wednesday.
And you're not even half-way through your preparation.
It is at times like these that you feel the urge to update your blog.
Tsk tsk.
Human beings.

(**UPDATED: I decided to be a good girl and only post this after my exams, which is.. NOW! Yay! Lolol for syok sendiri :p)

I blame the holiday season.
Thanksgiving is a pretty big thing here, and it turns out that both my classes,
which falls on the day before Thanksgiving,
were cancelled.
I had nothing in mind, not like it meant anything to me, honestly,
but was fortunate enough to have Malina and Will invited us over for Thanksgiving dinner :)
And to secure our Thanksgiving dinner date for next year too! Lol.
We're blessed.

So anyway,
for those of you who don't know,
Thanksgiving is basically a day where the family comes together and..
well.. give thanks. Haha!
Food is a huge part of Thanksgiving (who said only Chinese emphasizes on food!)

Not much pictures taken though.
It was a pretty simple but eventful Thanksgiving celebration.
We had dinner,
followed by drinks and games and more drinks (oops),
and the next day we headed for Black Friday shopping.
Oh, and the shopping goes on and on and on..
All the way through Cyber Monday!
It's crazy!
Generally everyone spends during this shopping weekend.
It marks as well the official start of Christmas Shopping!

Last picture before we hit the drinks. *smirks

The Next Day: Concentrating on the sales offer for apple products.

The crazy crowd!
Side note:
Can't wait for next week!!
<3 <3 <3

Much loves.

A Berry Farm With No Berries

I'm finally blogging about Knott's.
Just a quick one before we start,
there are no berries whatsoever at this place.
My sister genuinely thought I was going to pick strawberries or something of that sort.
I know the name is a tad bit misleading. Haha.

It was a real sunny day!
Don't be fooled though, quite chilly.
All in all the perfect weather for a theme park outing.

Poor HP wasn't feeling too well that day.
Guess she caught my virus.
Oops. I'm sowieee.
But thanks for making the effort to have fun anyway!

Our first picture inside the theme park.
Despite being a national holiday (Veteran's Day),
the crowd was pretty okay.
Not too overwhelming!
Oh did I mention that all veterans and active military get in for free.
Tsk tsk.
The benefits they get really not play play one.

I know she's one of the characters from Snoopy,
but thanks to Will, I now know alot more about her. *smirks*

I love this place!
Compared to the other theme parks I've been to so far..
This has a more friendly and family-oriented ambience to it (especially when compared to Disneyland!)
It's not too big, and not too commercialized.

At first I thought the theme was "Snoopy",
but then I guess they don't really focus on a main theme.

I'll have to admit this isn't the best of pictures. (I look damn fat big-sized!)
But it's memorable cos it was right before our first ride!

Christmas decorations were up!
Not too apparent though.
You don't get the "Christmasy" vibe yet.

Some more random pictures of the park.

Pink and Green!
Basically the two colors that represent my sister and I.
And no, I did not get on this ride.
I don't do vertical drops.
*shudders*

Lunch!
Portion's quite big (decent for Americans I guess) so we shared.
We had Chicken Tenders and Fries.

On a sidenote,
I love how the sun made all these pictures so niceyyy!  <3

And,
if you're a big fan of soda,
or refillable soda for that matter,
you should get this Snoopy Cup for only 7 bucks!
Its like a collection thingy and it entitles you to free refill all day long on the day of purchase!
Pretty good deal.
This was Will's cup btw..
Haha.

No edits! Tai yang wo hen ai ni! LOL

We did not want to risk puking on any of the rides,
hence we walked around and and tried our luck at some of the game stalls.
It's like those stalls you will find at a fun-fair / carnival,
you know, the type that that moves from city to city one?
Pretty old school but was really fun!

Not many pictures of other game stalls cos I was busy playing as well. LOL
And when Malina and I went for the Silver Bullet,
the two chickens continued at the game stalls.
But thanks to them we brought home Pinkedy and Pipi!
I just realized I don't have a picture of Pinkedy though..

The smaller version Keroppi that was eventually traded for a bigger one!

Before Greenie became Pinkedy!

Pipi says Hi!
If you're planning to visit Knott's anytime soon,
I would recommend to leave the Silver Bullet for last.
We kinda had to leave after that ride cos Malina and I wasn't feeling too well..
Haha.
Oh, and epic-est pic of the day, taken on Silver Bullet.

Never fails to make me laugh.
Some other pictures taken at Knott's.

Lesson learnt: Always have your sunglasses on.

The four of us.
All in all me lovey Knott's!
Definitely would be visiting again soon..
Thank you Malina and Will for letting us tag along! :)

After Knott's we went shopping at South Coast Plaza,
which was supposedly a quite atas mall,
and had nice dinner at a place where the waitresses scare us every now and then with their high-pitched screams.
But I'm getting a little lazy tired so that'll be for the next post.
Teehee.

Have a great great Sunday y'all!
(for Malaysians the remaining of your Sunday that is..)

Muchloves.

Week 12

I'm always a happy kid after my back-to-back classes on Wednesday.
Had bak kut teh for dinner!
First time trying out homemade bak kut teh. I think we fared quite well!
*pats own back*

Can't believe I'm almost done with the semester.
Few more weeks left,
撑着点!

At least I have something to look forward to in December.
Super super SUPER looking forward to. <3
I know I'm supposed to update about my visit to Knott's Berry Farm,
but I'm only half way done with the pictures.
Haha.
I iz almost there.

This was meant to be a filler post anyway (aka a lot of some vain pictures).

Went for breakfast with the girls the other day.

(On a sidenote, I really have to start looking at the camera instead of my own reflection.. #firstworldproblems)

This is definitely the kind of breakfast that can make you both sigh and moan at the same time.
It's yummeh, but oh-so-sinful at the same time.
Superb for the taste buds, superbly bad for the weighing scale.

Random visit to a nearby Harvest Music Festival.
I wanna go play on that blow-up palace too :(

Okay! End of filler post.
Update on Knott's soon.
Happy holiday to those back at home!

DAVID BECKHAM!

I don't wanna be in blogging debts again!
So Imma quickly update about today before I forget.
I still have the last outing though,
but since this is fresh and clear, that will be for the next post okay?

All of a sudden my life happening sial. Lalala~
Hopefully it stays that way. Haha.

Its not like a big championship game or anything, really.
But today marks the first of a few things.

Number one: My FIRST live soccer game! (which is like the whole point of this post.. LOL)

Simple outfit of the day. Which was quite a mistake cos it was freezing!

Us.

She said: 我帮你瘦脸 =.=  Thank you so much arr..

Love this picture of us in the cart!

The ticket! Blur picture. Blame iPhone's internal camera!
Walking to the stadium.

The crowd.

In line to clear the security check at the entrance.

Loves.

And then when we entered..
This came in view.
And I just went awwww..
Ok ok bimbo you say, but really larr, I don't even fancy soccer or anything,
but when you step into the stadium, the whole atmosphere really hypes you up!
People cheering, singing basically rooting for their team.
Even children are equally excited!
So I recommend each and everyone of you to go watch a live soccer game!
Go for the experience!

Long queue for the merchandise store as well.

The food stores. And most importantly BEER! Haha. We did not get any though :)

Us at our seats.

The cute family.

I know its too dark but the focus is on the soccer field really.

Number two: My FIRST boba tea here in the States.

Its basically just Pearl Milk Tea. Original Pearl Milk Tea.
And its nothing compared to Chatime, Koi, Gong Cha and the kind.
But I think it was the longest I went without this unhealthy drink so yea, it was a sinful indulgence :)

Just had to upload this. See how happy she is! Favorite picture of the night! Haha.
Number three: My FIRST Lee's Sandwiches.

It's like subway, but cheaper. And they have this section for a variety of Asian Sandwiches,
which I find pretty cool!

By the way we kinda sneaked this in. Haha. No outside food allowed LOL.

Number four: My FIRST time seeing DAVID BECKHAM live in action!!

Cursing myself for not bringing my Lumix to the States.
Or I would have captured wayy better and clearer pictures.
But still, ahhhhhhhhh... *fans self*

That's the closest he was to us. Loving his Hot Pink shoes!

I don't care if he's not as good as he was previously. He is still drop dead gorgeous.
Soooo I had a greeaaat night.
And I can't stop thinking how blessed I am.
A while ago I was praying that He'll lead me to breakthrough my then non-existing social life here.
Now, while I can't say I have a lot of friends,
I know I am blessed with great ones.

Ending this post with a pic with Malina's cousin.
Super cute and smart, and who reminds me so much of my Clairey Berry Strawberry.
I miss her so much! :(

She even imitated my expression! *Melts
Last but not least..
Thank you so much for the tickets Malina and Wilson!
We really really appreciate how you guys count us in for stuff like these!
It's not so much on the special priced tickets but your cordiality and thoughtfulness that counts.

I really should head to bed now.
Getting so cold! Brrrr...
Heading to Knotts Berry Farm tomorrow!

Much loves! <3 <3 <3

Good night all!
xoxo
